PREMA Racing’s Mick Schumacher was crowned 2020 FIA Formula 2 Champion. Ahead of the campaign, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a halt to all sporting events and forced the organisers to come up with a strategy that ensured we could go racing in 2020, when it was safe to do so.

This resulted in a season like no other, with 12 rounds of action-packed racing and drama at nine different venues. The season saw a record 12 different race winners.

PREMA dominated the Teams’ Championship, finishing 39.5 points ahead of UNI-Virtuosi. The Drivers’ Championship was tantalizingly tight and went to the wire, with nine drivers all mathematically in with a chance ahead of the season-closing double-header.

In the end, it was Mick Schumacher who came out on top, with 10 podiums and two wins. Next up is pre-season testing at Bahrain in March.
