PREMA Racing’s Oscar Piastri made it three titles in a row by winning the 2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship in the final round of the season at Yas Marina, adding it to a trophy collection that also includes the 2020 FIA Formula 3 crown and the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup title.
With six wins, 11 podiums and five poles, Piastri is the third rookie winner of the F2 title, joining an exclusive club that also includes 2017 champion Charles Leclerc and 2018 winner George Russell.
Piastri’s PREMA Racing teammate Robert Shwartzman finished second to help PREMA win their second successive Teams’ title, while UNI-Virtuosi's Guanyu Zhou finished in third, ahead of his promotion to Formula 1 with Alfa Romeo.
