Ralph Boschung has received a three-place grid drop for tomorrow’s Feature Race at the Baku City Circuit, after it was found that he had caused a collision in today’s Sprint Race.

At the restart of the final safety car period, the Swiss driver was on the inside at the approach to Turn 1. Trident’s Calan Williams was passing him on the outside and was significantly ahead at the turn in point and then fully alongside at the apex. Although Boschung was aware of Williams, he understeered due to cold tyres at the restart and used the full width of the track. Contact occurred between the two cars, which forced Williams into the barrier at the exit of Turn 1.

The Stewards determined that the Australian was entitled to a minimum of a car width at the corner's exit and as the Campos Racing driver did not leave this space, he is judged to be wholly at fault for the incident.

Boschung, who had qualified P18 on Friday, will line up P21 on tomorrow’s Starting Grid.
