Arvid Lindblad capped off a record-breaking 2025 campaign with confirmation that he would be promoted to Formula 1 in 2026 with Racing Bulls, alongside his sign-off Sprint Race win at Yas Marina.

Later in the weekend at the FIA Formula 2 and 3 Prize Giving Ceremony, he was recognised with the Aramco Best Performance Award.

The Briton earned Sprint victory back in Jeddah, becoming the youngest-ever Formula 2 race winner in the process, taking the top spot at just 17 years and 254 days.

Speaking at the Awards Ceremony, Lindblad said that it was a great achievement to add to his racing record, one that also includes youngest F3 race winner in history too.

“It was pretty special, it was nice to get the record in F2 like I did in F3. I was just happy to win the race though. It was a lot of fun, around an amazing track and the Campos guys gave me an amazing car. So it’s nice to have that record, but again, I was just happy with a win.

“I’m very excited for what comes next. When I started this journey out at five, my goal was to become a Formula 1 driver. For that to come true at such a young age, I’m extremely happy.

“It’s all come very quick, so I’ve got a lot to learn, it’s going to be difficult but I’m super looking forward to it.”
