Cordeel handed post Sakhir Feature Race penalty

Following the conclusion of the FIA Formula 2 Feature Race in Sakhir, Amaury Cordeel has been assigned a post-race penalty.

The Hitech Pulse-Eight driver made contact with PREMA Racing’s Oliver Bearman on the exit of Turn 15, as the Belgian headed towards the pitlane entrance during the Feature Race.

Afterwards, Stewards examined video evidence as well as heard from both drivers and determined that Cordeel had been wholly responsible for the contact, giving him a time penalty as a result.

Since Cordeel retired from the race, the Stewards elected to convert his time penalty to a grid drop of five places for the next race in which he competes.
