Aron and Miyata penalised following the Lusail Sprint Race

Following the conclusion of the FIA Formula 2 Lusail Sprint Race, several drivers have been given post-race penalties.
Firstly, Paul Aron has been given a two-place drop in the final classification after he was found to have caused a collision with Victor Martins.
The Stewards reviewed video evidence of the incident and spoke to both drivers and their team representatives before it was adjudicated that Aron had been predominantly to blame for the two drivers making contact at Turn 6.
As a result, Aron has dropped from fifth to seventh in the Sprint Race final classification.
Elsewhere, Ritomo Miyata has been given two separate positional drops, both for causing a collision.
Firstly, the Japanese driver has been handed a four-place drop after he was found to have caused a collision with DAMS Lucas Oil’s Dino Beganovic.
The Stewards reviewed video evidence of the incident and spoke to both drivers and their team representatives before it was decided that Miyata was wholly to blame for the contact at Turn 10.
Miyata was also judged to have caused contact with Car 4 of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, resulting in another two-place positional drop after he was deemed to be wholly to blame for the contact.
As a result of both decisions, Miyata drops from P7 in the Sprint Race classification to P13.
