After an exciting campaign, the curtain was brought down on the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season with the Prize Giving Ceremony, where the top three in the Drivers’ Championship were awarded their respective trophies.

Leonardo Fornaroli secured the crown in 2025, going back-to-back after his 2024 FIA F3 success, but he was made to work for it by several rivals.

Those that got closest were Jak Crawford and Richard Verschoor, who finished up the year second and third in the Drivers’ Standings.

At the Prize Giving Ceremony, all three were presented with their trophies and took a moment to reflect on their achievements.

“Being F2 Champion – it’s a dream come true. This year was my first with a British team and it couldn’t have gone better. Thank you to this amazing team, they were able to make me feel really welcome. My engineer, mechanics, team manager, thank you for the car and helping me achieve this.”

Jak Crawford, DAMS Lucas Oil – 2nd Place

“Super happy with the season. Obviously I wanted to win, and for sure, we had the pace to win, but things just didn't work out in the end. But still, it's been a great season for my career in trying to reach Formula 1.”

“Well, of course we wanted to fight for the Championship, which for most of the year, we did. Second half of the season wasn’t great for us, but still very happy to have been able to be given an opportunity by MP motorsport to race with them this year. Really, it's been a pleasure, an amazing group of people. So thank you so much to all of you. I wish I could have given them more, but we had to settle for third this year.”
