Following the conclusion of today’s Formula 2 Qualifying session in Lusail, Kush Maini has been handed a three-place grid penalty.

The Invicta Racing driver was found to have impeded Van Amersfoort Racing’s John Bennett during the session.

After analysing evidence following Qualifying and hearing from both drivers and their team representative, the Stewards judged that Maini had unnecessarily impeded Bennett at Turn 1.

As a result, the Stewards have handed Maini a three-place grid penalty which he will serve in the next race in which he competes.
