The countdown to Yas Marina well underway and the Formula 2 grid has been preparing for the final round of the campaign.
With several taking part in Formula 1 Free Practice sessions, there has been little time to rest and reset, but the Chasing the Dream cameras have caught up with Championship protagonists and top rookie contenders.
Championship leader Théo Pourchaire is eyeing up a title he feels has been within reach ever since he entered Formula 2 back in 2021. The ART Grand Prix driver has been relaxing at home with family ahead of what could be his crowning weekend later this month.
He won’t have it all his own way though, and nearest rival Frederik Vesti has been preparing himself at home as the PREMA Racing driver hopes to overhaul the Frenchman. The relative calm of Oxfordshire is where the Dane hopes to reignite his title hopes, aiming to overhaul the points gap to Pourchaire at the final Round.
Then there is the fight for top rookie between Victor Martins and Oliver Bearman. They are no strangers to battling one another on track having fought for the Formula 3 title last season. It’s Martins who leads that battle currently, but only by a single point over the British driver.
After taking part in Mexico City Grand Prix Practice, Bearman is back at base with PREMA Racing, hoping to end an up and down rookie campaign on a high note.
Martins returns to where it all began for him, visiting the karting track that kicked off his impressive career to reminisce and reflect on his journey to F2, battling familiar rivals all the way.
Keep an eye out for the latest instalment of Season 5 and the chance to get closer to Formula 2 than ever before.
