Leonardo Fornaroli is the 2025 recipient of the Anthoine Hubert Award.
He of course finished as top rookie after claiming the Drivers’ Championship in his first FIA Formula 2 campaign, winning four races and earning a further three podium results.
The Italian was also recently announced as a new member of the McLaren Driver Development Programme.
Speaking at the FIA Formula 2 and 3 Prize Giving Ceremony, Fornaroli said he was honoured to receive the Award, noting what an example Hubert remains to the upcoming generation of drivers, particularly those in Formula 2.
“I was with a new team in a new car which was a challenge for me, but it has been amazing from the first day with Invicta. They were always able to make me feel comfortable during every race weekend and to take the Championship in my first year, it’s amazing.
“I could not have asked for more and it’s important to receive this trophy, which represents Anthoine Hubert, who was an amazing driver and an inspiration for me. So it’s truly a pleasure to take this trophy as well.”
