Oliver Bearman confirmed as Ferrari F1 Reserve Driver for 2024 season

PREMA Racing’s Oliver Bearman has been confirmed as one of Scuderia Ferrari’s Reserve Driver for the upcoming 2024 season.
The Briton finished last year’s FIA Formula 2 campaign sixth in the Drivers’ Championship in what was his rookie campaign. He took four race wins including a clean sweep in Baku.
He combined his F2 season with FP1 appearances for Haas F1 Team at the Mexican and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix. He also took part in post-season testing for the team around the Yas Marina Circuit following the end of the 2023 season.
Previously, Bearman has competed in the Italian and ADAC Formula 4 Championships, winning both in 2021 before graduating to FIA Formula 3 in 2022.
In F3, the Briton put together an impressive rookie season, capturing a maiden victory and taking eight podiums across the season, ending up third in the Standings just seven points off of first.
He has been part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy since the end of 2021 and took part in a private test at the team’s famed test circuit in Fiorano last year.
As part of his new role with the F1 team, Bearman will be behind the wheel of the F1-75 later this month for the team, carrying out driving duties at a Pirelli tyre test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on the 31 January.
