Andrea Kimi Antonelli wins Dallara Award for Best Overtaking Manoeuvre

PREMA Racing’s Andrea Kimi Antonelli has been recognised for achieving the best overtake of 2024, winning the Dallara Award for his move on Franco Colapinto in the Spa-Francorchamps Sprint Race.
Despite the torrential rain and difficult conditions for all the drivers, the Italian was not deterred in his efforts to pass the MP Motorsport driver.
Entering Lap 3, he was on the gearbox of the Argentinian driver heading into La Source, but upon corner exit, got side by side with his rival, as the two nearly touched wheels, and also pinched towards the barriers on the run towards Eau Rouge.
But in a display of huge bravery and skill, the PREMA driver committed to the move, carrying extra speed up to Eau Rouge, thus forcing Colapinto to back out.
He surged around the outside to take sixth position and was recognised at the post-season Prize Giving Ceremony for the feat.
