Charouz Racing System duo handed one-place grid drop

Charouz Racing System pairing Louis Delétraz and Pedro Piquet have both been penalised following a tyre usage infraction.

It was found that both cars drove from the F2 paddock to the F1 pitlane using wet tyres, ahead of this morning’s Free Practice, which is a breach of regulations.

Both Delétraz and Piquet received a one place grid drop for tomorrow’s Feature Race, but no driver points have been awarded as this is considered a team infraction.

Qualifying will take place this afternoon at 5pm (local time),
