Colton Herta penalised following Baku Qualifying

Following the conclusion of Thursday’s FIA Formula 2 Qualifying in Baku, Colton Herta has been penalised.

Herta has been handed a grid penalty for Feature Race 2 for impeding Cian Shields during Qualifying 2.

After hearing from both drivers, along with their respective team representatives, the Stewards determined that Herta had unnecessarily impeded Shields between at Turn 14, breaching Article 31.6 of the FIA Formula 2 Sporting Regulations.

As a result, they elected to hand Herta a three-place grid penalty for Feature Race 2.
