Colton Herta withdraws from Madrid Sprint Race

Hitech’s Colton Herta will not take part in the Madrid Sprint Race.

Car 4 was worked on during the Restricted Period without an approved exception, breaching Article 21.6 a of the FIA Formula 2 Sporting Regulations.

As a result, Car 4 was set to start the Sprint Race from the pit lane as per Article 37.2 of the FIA Formula 2 Sporting Regulations.

However, Hitech has confirmed Herta's withdrawal from Saturday's race.

Drivers set to start behind Car 4 on the grid will move up one position each.
