Daruvala handed post-Sprint Race 1 time penalty

Carlin’s Jehan Daruvala has been handed a post-race penalty following today’s Sprint Race 1 in Jeddah.
Daruvala made up six places in Sprint Race 1, rising from 11th to fifth, but has now been penalised for his overtake on teammate Dan Ticktum and handed a five-second time penalty.
The Stewards found that Daruvala passed his teammate whilst off-track at Turn 2 and gained a lasting advantage.
With the penalty applied, the Indian driver falls from fifth to 10th. He will now start from reverse grid pole in Sprint Race 2, ahead of Bent Viscaal.
