Delétraz's unlikely alternate career path revealed

This feature explores the alternate side to our racing drivers, with a series of diverse and fun questions. The drivers simply have to roll a set of dice and answer questions that link to the numbers they roll.
Swiss racer Louis Delétraz is up next and he reveals his ultimate bucket list, a rather cool alternate career path and the things which he couldn’t live without.
- What three things are on your bucket list?
Going to New Zealand, making it to Formula 1 and winning 24 hour of Le Mans.
I have loved the look of New Zealand since I was young. I’ve been to Australia, which was amazing, but I have seen pictures of New Zealand and I love travelling, so that is somewhere that I want to do. I think the second two are self-explanatory!
- If you weren’t a racing driver, what would you be?
A fighter pilot. I think that it’s a fairly similar career in terms of the adrenaline that it gives you and how fast they go. I love planes in general, how they work and the engineering behind it.
Otherwise, probably an engineer, either in motorsport or on planes.
- What couldn’t you live without?
Family and racing. I couldn’t live without either of these two, I think it’s these two things together really. They are the two things that make me go forward and without them, it would be very different. I am lucky to have that and the people around me.
- Where would you most like to live?
I want to visit New Zealand, so I wouldn’t mind living there either! It looks pretty awesome. The only problem is that it is pretty far away. Otherwise, maybe the US, somewhere like New York or Los Angeles.
- What is your biggest fear?
Not achieving and losing, because I dedicate so much into not only racing, but also everything that I take on. When I do something, I dedicate everything to it, and no one really likes failure. I am someone who wants to win and who wants to succeed. So doing something badly, that is a fear.
