Jack Doohan to drive in FP1 at British Grand Prix for Alpine

Alpine have confirmed that reserve driver Jack Doohan will be back in the A524 for Free Practice 1 at the British Grand Prix.
The Australian will be taking over from Pierre Gasly for the opening session of the Formula 1 race weekend in what will be his second outing for the team in 2024, after also driving at a wet Practice session at the Canadian Grand Prix last month.
Last season, Doohan finished the FIA Formula 2 campaign third in the Drivers’ Championship after a strong second half of the season with Invicta Virtuosi Racing. He earned three Feature Race wins along with a further two podium results.
He will be taking to the track along with PREMA Racing’s Oliver Bearman, who will be at the wheel for Haas, and MP Motorsport driver Franco Colapinto, who will be in for Logan Sargeant at Williams.
