Jack Doohan to make F1 debut with Alpine at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Alpine F1 Team have confirmed that Jack Doohan will get his Formula 1 debut this weekend at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Australian driver will replace Esteban Ocon for the final round of the 2024 F1 season at the Yas Marina Circuit.
It comes after two Free Practice 1 sessions this season for Doohan with the team, coming at the Canadian and British Grands Prix earlier in the campaign whilst serving as Alpine’s Reserve Driver.
“BWT Alpine Formula One Team Announces that Reserve Driver Jack Doohan will race in the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in place of Esteban Ocon,” a team statement said.
“The change allows Esteban to be released to Haas to drive in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi.”
Doohan will race with the #61, his registered Reserve Driver number and will also participate in the end-of-season test following the race weekend around the Yas Marina Circuit.
