Hitech has announced that Joshua Duerksen will join the team in 2027

Hitech has confirmed that Joshua Duerksen will join the team for the 2027 FIA Formula 2 season.
The Paraguayan is the first driver to be confirmed as part of the British team's line-up for next year, joining after three years of experience in the F2 Championship.
He debuted in F2 back in 2024, and since then has secured eight victories in the Championship along with 16 podiums in total.
Ahead of the move to Hitech, the Mercedes Development Driver said that he was very excited to be moving to the team for next season.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Hitech for the 2027 Formula 2 season.
“Hitech has shown for many years that it is one of the strongest teams in Formula 2 and I’m very proud to have the opportunity to race with them. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, starting the work together and seeing what we can achieve.
“The new car for 2027 gives us another exciting challenge and I’m really motivated to get started. I want to keep developing, keep fighting for wins and the best results possible on all tracks. I’m confident that together we can achieve some great things next season.”
Jan Sumann, Hitech’s F2 Head of Race Engineering added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Joshua to Hitech for 2027. He’s a proven Formula 2 race winner and we’ve seen first-hand from the pit wall the speed and race craft he brings.
“He has continued to develop throughout his time in the championship and has shown that he can deliver results and perform under pressure. He brings valuable experience with him, particularly as we head into 2027 and the challenge of understanding the evolution of the F2 car.
“Joshua is ambitious, motivated and has already achieved a great deal in Formula 2, but it’s clear that he is hungry for more. We’re looking forward to working with him and seeing what we can achieve together next season.”
