Kimi Antonelli's top F2 moments: Wins, wet weather magic and more
Take a look back at Kimi Antonelli's finest moments from his FIA Formula 2 season in 2024

Kimi Antonelli spent a single season in FIA Formula 2 ahead of his promotion to Formula 1 with Mercedes.
The Italian put together an impressive campaign nonetheless, winning twice and achieving some incredible moments along the way.
We take a look back at his highlights from 2024 with PREMA Racing, from his race victories to stunning overtaking maneuvers.
OFF THE MARK IN THE WET
It was a longer wait than he and PREMA might have liked, but Antonelli announced his arrival in F2 with his first victory in the Championship around a treacherous Silverstone circuit.
Leading from the front in the Sprint Race, the Italian handled things with a maturity beyond his years, establishing a gap over the chasing pack that never put him under serious threat.
He flew off into the distance at the start, establishing a three-second gap over a single lap over closest challenger Zane Maloney.
Multiple Safety Cars wiped out any advantage, but he was immediately back to a pace nobody could catch at the restarts.
By the chequered flag, the Italian was over eight seconds clear of anyone else, winning at a canter in conditions his rivals struggled in.
It was an impressive display of things to come in his career.
FEATURE RACE WINNER IN BUDAPEST

After the first taste of success at Silverstone, Antonelli didn't have to wait long to secure his first Feature Race victory of the season in Budapest.
From seventh on the grid, an aggressive first lap put him up to fifth on the alternative strategy using the Hard compound tyres.
He was into fourth with a great dive to the inside of Turn 9 in what was an opportunistic move on Maloney.

Taking care of his tyres to extend his stint as long as he could, Antonelli was perfectly placed when a Safety Car arrived on Lap 22 to make his pit stop and emerge on Softs in fifth position with the field bunched up.
At the restart, he took two places in three corners with instant moves on Dennis Hauger and Enzo Fittipaldi to move into third place.
That became second when he dived down the inside of Gabriel Bortoleto at Turn 1 on the following lap, and Victor Martins was overtaken at the same spot on the following tour to complete his charge to the front.
He established a near 12-second gap by the chequered flag to underline his victory.
STUNNING OVERTAKE AT SPA

Antonelli ultimately did not stand on the top step of the podium for the remainder of the F2 campaign but that doesn't mean he didn't make his mark.
Another wet race in Spa gave the PREMA driver a platform to showcase his talents, and he did not disappoint.
Battling with Franco Colapinto entering Lap 3, Antonelli set up a mighty move, getting alongside the Argentine driver out of Turn 1 heading down the hill to Eau Rouge.
Squeezed tight to the inside wall by his rival, Antonelli would not lift, instead keeping his cool and flying through for the position up the hill as the rain intensified.
A Safety Car and eventual Red Flag meant the race did not reach the scheduled length, but Antonelli certainly provided a highlight in the few laps of racing that day.
