Maini loses fastest laptime after Imola Qualifying session

Following the conclusion of Qualifying for Round 4 in Imola, DAMS Lucas Oil driver Kush Maini has been penalised.
Car 12 crashed at Turn 4, causing a session-ending Red Flag. As the sole cause of the Red Flag, Maini breached Article 22.5 of the FIA Formula 2 Sporting Regulations.
The Stewards heard from both the driver and team representative following the session and examined available video evidence.
They determined that Maini was the sole cause of the Red Flag, causing the session to be stopped and several drivers to abandon their attempts at improving in the session.
As a result of there being no external contributing factors, Maini has had his fastest lap time deleted.
It means Maini drops to 13th in the final Qualifying classification. It promotes Jak Crawford, Ritomo Miyata, Josep María Martí and Roman Stanek up one position each.
