Post-Sprint Race Penalties

Campos Racing’s Jack Aitken and BWT Arden’s Anthoine Hubert have both been penalised following today’s FIA Formula 2 Sprint Race.
Firstly, Hubert was found to be at fault for a collision with Aitken at Turn 3. It was determined that the Frenchman braked very late when approaching the apex of Turn 3 and therefore had to go across the curb, with nowhere else to go. In doing so, he made contact with the Englishman and gained an advantage over him.
Furthermore, Aitken has been also been penalised for the action that followed that incident. It was found that when attempting to re-pass Hubert, Aitken moved to the right and found no room to overtake and subsequently collided with the Frenchman while trying to move back and pass on the left. It was determined that Aitken was at fault for this second incident.
The duo were both been given five second time penalties. Hubert drops down to 17th in the final classification, while Aitken now finishes directly behind him in last place.
