Sebastián Montoya penalised following Barcelona Sprint Race

Following the conclusion of Saturday afternoon’s Barcelona Sprint Race, PREMA Racing’s Sebastián Montoya has been penalised for causing a collision.
During the race, Car 9 of Montoya collided with the PREMA Car 10 of Gabriele Minì at Turn 1.
After the race, the Stewards investigated the matter using video evidence and also heard from both drivers and Team Representatives.
It was determined that Montoya had been at predominantly at fault for the incident as the driver of Car 9 had lost control of the car coming into the corner having braked later in an attempt to maintain the position.
As a result, the Stewards handed a five-second time penalty to Montoya, dropping him from fifth to 11th in the final classification.
