Shwartzman and Armstrong to run for Ferrari in private test at Maranello

PREMA Racing’s Robert Shwartzman and DAMS’ Marcus Armstrong will both get a turn behind the wheel for Ferrari today, with the latter making his debut in the Scuderia.
Shwartzman will be back in the saddle for Ferrari just 42 days on from his stint with the team in the Abu Dhabi Young Driver test.
The Russian enjoyed a promising rookie campaign in Formula 2, taking four wins and six podiums overall to finish in fourth.
Armstrong will enjoy his first run out in a Ferrari machine, becoming only the second New Zealander to drive in one of the team’s Formula 1 cars.
His debut comes just days after his switch from ART Grand Prix to DAMS for the 2021 campaign. It will be his second in F2, after the Kiwi took two podiums in 2020.
The Ferrari junior duo will be testing the 2018 SF71H, as part of as a five-day private test at the Fiorana track in Maranello.
Ferrari’s 2021 pairing Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will also be taking part in the test, as will 2020 F2 racers Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Guiliano Alesi.
