The Formula 2 stars past and present set to take part in FP1 at the Italian Grand Prix

This weekend’s Italian Grand Prix will see a few Formula 2 talents from the past and one current 2026 driver taking part in the opening Formula 1 practice session of the weekend.

So here’s a list of those you can expect to see shining out on track in Monza…

First of all, Colton Herta is set to hit the track with the Cadillac Formula 1 team once again this weekend.

The American will replace Sergio Perez for his third FP1 session of the season – having previously taken part in Barcelona and Budapest.

Herta will be joined on track by Luke Browning, who is set to takeover Alex Albon’s FW48 for the opening session of the weekend.

Paul Aron will also be back in the car for Alpine, replacing Pierre Gasly for the hour-long practice session.

Lastly, Ayumu Iwasa will be driving for Red Bull Racing for the second time this season, taking over from four-time world champion Max Verstappen.
