Théo Pourchaire joins Mercedes Formula 1 Team as a Development Driver

The Mercedes Formula 1 Team have announced that 2023 FIA Formula 2 Champion Théo Pourchaire has joined them as a Development Driver for the 2026 season.
The French driver competed in three full seasons of F2 from 2021, before winning the title with one victory and 10 podiums in 2023.
He now joins current F2 driver Joshua Duerksen as a Development Driver for Mercedes, an opportunity he is grateful to have.
“The news is finally out, I’m incredibly proud and grateful to be joining the Mercedes F1 Team as a Development Driver.
“I grew up watching this team winning in F1 and now I have the honour to work with them and represent them.
“A big thank you to everyone involved for giving me this opportunity, I’m going to make the most of it. Let’s start the work in Brackley.”
