Three drivers handed post-Feature Race time penalties

Charouz Racing System’s Enzo Fittipaldi, Van Amersfoort Racing’s Amaury Cordeel and Campos Racing’s Olli Caldwell have all been served with time penalties following today’s Formula 2 Feature Race at Sakhir.
Enzo Fittipaldi has been served with a five-second time penalty for causing a collision with Trident’s Richard Verschoor. When fighting for position on the approach to Turn 1, Fittipaldi braked later than usual and made slight contact with the back of the Trident, which later resulted in his retirement.
Although the contact was minor, the Stewards deemed Fittipaldi to be solely responsible. The Brazilian had finished in 11th and with the penalty applied he falls to 14th.

During the Feature Race, Cordeel was found to have twice exceeded the pitlane speed limit of 60km/h.
The Van Amersfoort Racing driver has been handed a combined 10s-time penalty for these offences and this drops him from 13th to 15th in the final classification.

Caldwell has also been served with a five-second time penalty for exceeding track limits at Turn 4 on four separate occasions.
Although the infringements occurred prior to the British driver changing his tyres, he did not serve the five-second time penalty during his pitstop. As such, he has been given it as a post-race time penalty.
The Campos Racing driver finished the race in 17th and with the penalty applied he remains in the same position.
