Van Amersfoort Racing confirm John Bennett for 2025 campaign

John Bennett will step up to FIA Formula 2 in 2025 with Van Amersfoort Racing the team have confirmed.
Bennett took part in the final two rounds of the 2024 season for the Dutch team, scoring points in Lusail and then drove for the team during post-season testing around the Yas Marina Circuit.
The British driver made his single seater debut in 2022, racing in the GB3 Championship before making his Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine bow in 2024. Bennett also drove for VAR during the post-season Formula 3 tests in October.
Speaking about his step up to Formula 2 for 2025, the British driver said he was raring to get going with the team after his outings in 2024 for the Dutch outfit.
“I am delighted to be racing with VAR in Formula 2 for 2025. Since my first day testing in F3, it has been a great environment to work in. Thank you to the team for all their support, and I cannot wait to get started next year!”
Van Amersfoort Team Principal Brad Joyce added: “We are delighted to welcome John to our full-time Formula 2 line-up for 2025. His progression through the final rounds of the 2024 season demonstrated his ability to quickly adapt in challenging conditions.
