Villagómez handed time penalty after Sakhir Sprint Race

Van Amersfoort Racing driver Rafael Villagómez has been handed a 10-second time penalty following the FIA Formula 2 Sprint Race in Sakhir.
The Mexican made contact with Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Amaury Cordeel, resulting in the latter’s retirement from the race on Lap 1.
Following the race, Stewards analysed evidence and having heard from both drivers involved in the incident, determined that Villagómez had been wholly at fault for the contact between them.
With the penalty applied, the VAR driver remains 19th in the classification.
