Gianluca Petecof was a surprise omission during Formula 3 post-season testing in 2020, but that’s because he had other plans in mind.

The 2020 Formula Regional European champion felt he was ready for the second tier and opted to make the step up early, bypassing F3 along the way.

The Brazilian appreciates that the step up will be steep and anticipates a difficult start to life in the second tier, but is confident that he can compete once he becomes accustomed to the upgrade in machinery.

Boasting an impressive C.V., Petecof is a former Ferrari junior and scored 14 podiums during his title-winning Formula Regional campaign, including four victories.
