Driving for MP Motorsport in the final two rounds of the 2021 season, French racer Clément Novalak enjoyed the added advantage of not only making his Formula 2 debut earlier than expected, but also with the team he’ll compete for in 2022.
Novalak stepped up from Formula 3 on the back of a campaign that saw him take four podiums and finish third in the Drivers’ Championship with Teams’ Champions Trident.
Starting his single-seater career in 2018, Novalak scored two wins, four podiums and three fastest laps in the Toyota Racing Series on his way to fifth. He also gained experience in Formula Renault Eurocup and BRDC British Formula 3 that year.
The 20-year-old continued in British F3 the following season and went on to take the title, sealing eight podiums, including two wins, before the move into FIA F3 with Carlin, where he took two podiums and finished 12th.
