Team / Campos Racing
One of two new members of the Alpine Academy for 2022, Olli Caldwell will be making the step up to Formula 2 with plenty of experience in his corner.
As well as the expertise of Alpine, and unlimited access to their Enstone based factory, Caldwell will also be able to call upon the knowledge of Campos and the most experienced driver on the grid, Ralph Boschung, who will remain with the Spanish team for a second full-season.
Caldwell took a win and four podiums in the opening four rounds of the 2021 F3 season, but struggled in the second half of the campaign, taking just four more points’ finishes and dropping from third to eighth in the standings.
With the help of Alpine and Campos, the 19-year-old British racer will be looking to rediscover his early-season form in F2. He gave himself a head start on his 2022 preparations with a two-round stint at Campos in Rounds 11 and 12, scoring a best finish of 12th in Jeddah.
