Ayumu Iwasa

BIOGRAPHY

A Red Bull junior and Honda Formula Dream Project driver, Ayumu Iwasa’s career has been on the ascendancy ever since winning the French Formula 4 title in his first season of European racing. Achieved in 2020, Iwasa will be racing in the second tier less than two years later.

The Japanese driver will make the step up on the back of a solid rookie campaign in F3 with Hitech Grand Prix last year. Iwasa finished 12th in the Drivers’ Championship with two podiums, including a victory at Budapest.

Iwasa won the 2020 French Formula 4 title with nine wins and 15 podiums, before following this up with a drive in the 2021 Asian F3 Championship, where he finished eighth with one podium, racing alongside 2022 team-mate Roy Nissany.
