Off the back of his second podium of the season in the Barcelona Feature Race, Enzo Fittipaldi is hungrier than ever for a maiden victory and knows the perfect way to celebrate – a post-win boogie.

Enjoying a break before action resumes in Spielberg at the end of the month, the Rodin Carlin racer became the latest driver to be put on the spot in the Would You Rather hotseat.

WEIGHTS OR CARDIO?

“It’s a hard one because I really like both – I’ll have to go with cardio.”

HOME OR MONACO GP VICTORY?

“I don’t have a home race in Formula 2, but if I could I’d win my home race in Formula 1, the Brazilian Grand Prix.”

UNDERSTEER OR OVERSTEER?

“Both – I can’t pick one. In Qualifying, I would rather have a more nervous car on entry, so I’m leaning slightly towards oversteer. It’s a really hard question for me because in F2, it really depends on each session you do. Sometimes a bit of an understeery balance can be better.”

GIVE UP YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL FOR A YEAR OR EAT IT EVERYDAY FOR A YEAR?

“Give up my favourite meal for life! My favourite meal is rice and beans with red meat or chicken. It’s a classic Brazilian dish, I love it, but I could give it up and eat anything else because I love everything.”

HANDS FOR FEET OR FEET FOR HANDS?

“Hands for feet, I feel like you’d be able to climb easier and do stuff.”

FIRST TO ARRIVE OR LAST TO ARRIVE?

“I’m in-between. Sometimes I’m the first to arrive, sometimes the last and sometimes I’m just there on time. I’m becoming more the first to arrive. Last year, I was a bit more towards the last to arrive and now this year I’ve been pushing myself. If someone says 5PM to arrive, I would want to arrive on time which is five minutes earlier, whereas last year 5:01PM was still on time.”

TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?

“Too cold, especially when you’re sleeping. I feel like when it’s too hot, you just can’t sleep but if it’s cold, you can always manage.”

RACE SUIT THAT’S TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL?

“Too big, too big, too big!”

ROCK OR HIP HOP?

“Hip Hop. One song I really like is Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics and also ABBA, those are the type of music I listen to instead. I do listen to a lot of Spanish music as well as some Mexican stuff. Peso Pulma is a new artist that’s coming up and I like their songs a lot.”

KARAOKE OR DANCE OFF?

“A dance off - I feel like I dance really well, so I’m confident that I would win. Karaoke would not work. I have a lot of signature moves, let’s say I get a podium or a win I’ll definitely do one!”

WIN THE INDY 500 OR THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS?

“Win the Indy 500, it’s a crazy event. I went there once to watch my brother race in 2021 and when you go there in person and you’re on the grid, the amount of people there are and the event itself is just so big. I was watching the most recent Indy 500 where Josef Newgarden won and those are the craziest last laps ever, it was just insane. Obviously, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is also something that I think every driver wants to compete in and win one day, but the Indy 500 for me is up there.”

TELEPORTATION OR ABILITY TO READ PEOPLE’S MINDS?

“Teleport, I think life would be boring if you knew what other people were thinking. I feel like if you read people’s minds, then you would already know what the answer is going to be.”

OPTION PRIME OR PRIME OPTION?

“Option - Prime. Actually, I’m going to change that as I like Prime – Option. I like going on the harder tyre first because I feel that if you make an overtake on the harder tyre on someone on the softer compound it’s more satisfying. You see them in your mirrors and they’re losing time behind you, it’s a good feeling. If you make overtakes, especially if you have a good start with the primes and you get ahead of some of the soft runners, you’re in a good position. It’s always a big risk because if a Safety Car comes out on Lap 8 or 9, you’re done.”

SHOEY OUT OF YOUR TEAMMATE’S SHOE OR YOUR BOSS’ SHOE?

“Probably my teammate Zane’s shoe.”

LATE-BRAKING DIVE DOWN THE INSIDE OR SWEEP ALL THE WAY AROUND THE OUTSIDE?

“I don’t know, I’ve done a lot of overtakes around the outside. I like going up the inside, but I also really like the outside as I feel like some people just don’t expect it. In Monaco, everyone was boxed up on the inside into the Casino Hairpin and I just said ‘alright, I’ll go on the outside and take two or three cars there.”

WIN FROM POLE OR LAST?

“Win from pole. If you win from pole, you dominated the whole weekend. If you win from last, normally you get a bit of luck with the Safety Car. Okay, you have to have really good race pace, but it’s crazy if you win from last, but I would rather win from pole, even though I love overtaking.”
