Following the conclusion of the Formula 2 Qualifying session in Jeddah, Juan Manuel Correa has been handed a three-place grid drop.
The DAMS Lucas Oil driver was found to have impeded PHM AIX Racing’s Taylor Barnard during the session.
After analysing evidence following Qualifying and hearing from both drivers, the Stewards judged that Correa had unnecessarily impeded Barnard at Turn 1.
The grid drop will be served in the next race in which the DAMS driver competes in.
Hitech Pulse-Eight driver Amaury Cordeel also has a grid penalty from the last round. The Belgian driver is set to serve a five-place grid penalty he was assigned following the Sakhir Feature Race for causing a collision.
