Newcomer Clément Novalak has received a three-place grid drop penalty for tomorrow’s Feature Race in Jeddah, after it was found that he had caused a collision at the start of today’s Sprint Race 2.
The Stewards determined that the Frenchman locked the rear breaks entering Turn 1, lost the rear end as a result and slid into Sprint Race 1 winner Marcus Armstrong.
The MP Motorsport man was wholly responsible for the contact, which resulted in the early retirement of both drivers.
Novalak, who had qualified in 12th, will now start the Feature Race from P15.
