It is the final round of the triple-header and the paddock is making its way to Barcelona for another race weekend, with both teams and drivers getting ready to do battle once more.

After a dramatic few days in Monte Carlo, the action resumes at the Spanish venue, and there are many storylines to look out for before we hit the track once more.

WILL CONSISTENCY BE REWARDED WITH VICTORIES?

Luke Browning and Leonardo Fornaroli are not only two of the top three in the Championship’s Standings, but they have arguably also been the most consistent drivers on the grid.

Browning is currently top of the leaderboard on 70 points, helped by his season-leading five podiums achieved so far in 2025.

Fornaroli is six points behind the Hitech TGR driver in third place, and the Invicta Racing rookie has finished in the points at every race that has been contested this season.

However, the pair are yet to win a race, despite both having finished second twice in 2025. Fornaroli was incredibly close this weekend in the Monte Carlo Feature Race but lost out in dramatic fashion to Jak Crawford under the Safety Car.

Both drivers head to Barcelona in good form though, and while they will love to continue their streak of points and podiums, they will also be hopeful of achieving that first Formula 2 win.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is not a venue that either has previously won at, but can that change this weekend?

GETTING BACK ON TRACK

While Browning and Fornaroli’s seasons have been trending in the right direction during this triple-header, Richard Verschoor and Josep María Martí have had their share of struggles over the last two weeks.

Verschoor and Martí entered the triple-header in Imola as the top two in the Drivers' Championship, but their results in Imola and Monte Carlo have seen them drop down the order.

The former led the way after a brilliant Feature Race victory in Jeddah, but the MP Motorsport driver has added just six points to the 53 he had scored in the opening three rounds.

This means Verschoor is now fourth, trailing Browning by 11 points going to Spain.

As for Martí, the Campos Racing driver’s two difficult Qualifying sessions have put him on the backfoot at both rounds, and he did not score points in any of the four races in Imola and Monaco.

The Red Bull Junior has now slipped from second to seventh in the Standings, and as he returns home, Martí will be hopeful of getting back on track in Barcelona.

Both Verschoor and Martí have previously won at the Spanish venue, and if either could recreate that this weekend, it would be a great end to a difficult couple of rounds.

ARE DAMS THE ONES TO BEAT?

It is fair to say that DAMS Lucas Oil and their drivers Jak Crawford and Kush Maini have had a good few weeks, especially in Monaco where they completed the double.

Maini scored his first victory of the season after holding off Gabriele Minì in the Monte Carlo Sprint, while Crawford’s quick thinking on Sunday saw him come out on top in the Feature.

This came a week after Crawford won the Imola Sprint Race, having finished second from Pole Position a round earlier in Jeddah.

This is a remarkable turnaround for DAMS considering that they did not score a point at the opening two rounds, and now they head to Spain fourth in the Teams’ Standings, and with Crawford fifth in the Drivers’ Championship.

RACE ANALYSIS: How Crawford’s quick thinking put him on path to victory

They will want to keep that form going in Barcelona, a track where they achieved a double podium finish in the Feature Race last year, with Crawford coming out on top.

Given how well they have performed as a team in recent weeks, another strong result in Barcelona cannot be ruled out for DAMS, and it could be the perfect end to the triple header for them.
