Interview
Adrián Campos Jr was full of praise for both Arvid Lindblad and Nikola Tsolov, after the former’s victory in the Yas Marina Sprint Race, while the latter achieved his maiden Formula 2 podium.
Lindblad led the race from start to finish, resisting the attacks of AIX Racing’s Joshua Duerksen throughout the 23 laps, going on to seal his third victory of the season in his final race weekend with Campos Racing.
As for Tsolov, after a three-place grid dropped him down to fifth on the grid, a great start and strong pace helped him finish third in just his second race weekend in F2.

“It has been a very positive day,” said Campos Jr. “We knew we had the pace to do as we did. It is a shame about Nikola's penalty because I think he could have fought for second place, at least.
“We could have done a second P1 and P2 of the season, but still, we had a good start with both cars, and we took advantage of it.
“Nikola is always learning and improving. He is the only one of the drivers that came for the last two rounds that is up there fighting with the big guys. Very happy for him, and very proud of the year that he is doing.”
On Lindblad, who is getting set to graduate to Formula 1 in 2026 with Racing Bulls, Campos Jr admits the way the British driver operates and the level of his performances have certainly caught the eye.
“I am very surprised about Arvid,” he continued. “The very limited experience he has, and he is still able to put the car up front. Every time that nothing strange happens, or he has the luck that he needs to be up there, it's impressive, it's very impressive.

“He is certainly a guy that has things extremely clear in his mind, he knows what he wants. It's always very nice to have a win in the last race weekend of the year, and the last race weekend with him, and I am sure that he has a very amazing future ahead.”
Attentions now turn to Sunday’s Feature Race, where Lindblad is set to line up in ninth, with Tsolov in 12th.
Campos go into the race third in the Teams’ Championship on 256 points, trailing Hitech TGR in second by just 10, with Invicta Racing a further 30 points ahead.
This means the Spanish outfit still have a chance of winning the title, and while Campos Jr is drawing inspiration from their Formula 3 success earlier this year, he knows it will be difficult deficit to overturn.
“Obviously we are looking more at the Standings now than at the beginning of the weekend, because for P2, it's around 10 points,” he said.

“So it’s possible because they have one car in the points, we have one car in the points, and Nikola is closer than Browning, so anything can happen. It's not easy but we will fight for it. It was not easy also in Monza with F3, but we managed to achieve it.
“Also the Teams' title is still possible because there are more points in play than the difference with Invicta right now. They are starting in front, we are starting in the mid pack, but we will give our best to end the season as high as possible.”
