With three podiums, including two victories, in the past two rounds, Robert Shwartzman found form towards the mid-way part of the season, recovering from a difficult start to the year that included three pointless races from the first two rounds. Currently sitting third in the standings, how would he grade his own performances?

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE SEASON SO FAR?

“My thoughts on the season so far are pretty positive, I think the last two rounds were pretty good, the first two were a bit tough but it's important that we start from some point and we always improve so that's what was happening and I'm pretty happy that we are evolving.

“My opinion is that we need to keep on working like we're working and just try to do fewer mistakes, do a really good job and continue to deliver consistently good results. So, I'm pretty positive and pretty happy about how it is going.

“It's only half a season, we have another half. I'm confident that we will do even better in the second half. We will do the best that we can and I'm confident that we're going to be really, really good.”

WHAT HAS BEEN THE STRONGEST ASPECT OF YOUR SEASON SO FAR?

“It’s very difficult to judge. There is not such a thing as the strongest point. I try to be the strongest in every single point, improve every single little thing, and that's my target. I'm working in this direction, and I know there is no perfection, but I try to get as close as possible to perfection in everything.”

WHAT HAS BEEN THE WEAKEST ASPECT OF THE SEASON SO FAR?

“The same... there is not such a thing as the weakest point. There are some things which I'm probably lacking something a little bit, but it's just important to keep working, work on it, and improve it and I'm sure we're going to do it.”

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT THIS SEASON?

“I learned a lot of things, and I still have something to learn for sure. I think I learned how to do really good starts, to be more consistent I think that's what we were missing last year. Generally, there are some other things that I learned too, a lot of little bits, but generally I'm always learning and improving myself."

WHY ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON?

“I'm looking forward to the second half of the season because I think we're going to be stronger, and I'm looking to do a really good job, to get really good points, to get the wins, podiums, wins, podiums.”
