Arvid Lindblad’s start to life in Formula 2 is going quite well, especially after his maiden victory in the Championship at the Jeddah Sprint Race.

Prior to the season starting though, we put the Campos Racing rookie to the test by asking him some Would You Rather questions and we got some very cool answers in return.

WOULD YOU RATHER BE A FAMOUS SINGER OR FAMOUS ACTOR?

“Actor. I don't know why I just prefer to be an actor. I think singers are very cool, just having such a good voice but I think actors are maybe a bit cooler.“

WIN YOUR HOME RACE ONCE OR MONACO GRAND PRIX THREE TIMES?

“Three times in Monaco. Winning your home race is very special but I think it’s equal to Monaco, especially now, well in F2 maybe a little less, but in F3 last year it was our only street circuit, which made it quite cool.”

WIN THE INDY 500 OR THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS?

“Indy 500. I think it's just a bit more of a cooler event.”

WINS FROM POLE OR WIN FROM LAST ON THE GRID?

“Win from last. Pole is cool but I'd take winning from last.”

DRIVE IN A PERMANENT CIRCUIT OR A STREET TRACK?

“Both are obviously integral to a calendar but I prefer street circuits just because there is less of them, we drive them less so it's more enjoyable and different. Macau is the best one I've been too, but I am really looking forward to Jeddah and Baku, they are the two I am really looking forward to this year.”

KARAOKE OR DANCE OFF?

“Karaoke. I'm not a good singer that's why I'd prefer to be an actor but I like a good singalong.”

WOULD YOU RATHER BE FRONT ROW AT FASHION WEEK OR AT THE OSCARS?

“Fashion week. I quite like clothes and fashion. The Oscars is like a prize giving ceremony. At fashion week, you will have some kind of surprises here and there, some of it is quite cool, so I'd rather go to Fashion Week.”

WOULD YOU RATHER WIN THE TITLE WITH NO WINS OR WIN MANY RACES BUT NOT WIN THE TITLE?

“Win many races but not the title. It depends on what races you win, especially Feature Races. If you do that and don't win the title you are going to be second or third in the Championship, and I still think you have a chance of getting to Formula 1 if you win many races.”

TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?

“I hate these questions because I hate both. I'd rather be comfortable. They're both so bad, I don't know. Cold, but then you are there and you are literally shivering, but then there is also that side of hot when you are starting to get the sweats. Let’s go hot, I prefer 40 degrees than zero degrees.”

BE AN ASTRONAUT OR A ROCKSTAR?

“A rockstar.”

FLY TO SPACE AND DISCOVER A NEW PLANET, OR GO IN A SUBMARINE AND DISCOVER A NEW UNDERWATER KINGDOM?

“Which would take longer? I think submarine is a bit quicker. They're both pretty cool. I don't know, I will just shuffle play like on Spotify and see what I get, I don't mind either. I'd go underwater kingdom. Planet just feels a bit far.”

EAT WITH A SPOON OR A FORK FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?

“A fork. I'm not a spoon type of person, it's not always ideal but I prefer a fork. Sushi with a fork, you can't do it with a spoon.”

COMMUNICATE TELEPATHICALLY OR KNOW EVERY SINGLE LANGUAGE ON THE PLANET?

“Know every language. I think that would be cool. I only know one.”

DRIVE WITH WET TYRES IN THE DRY OR DRY TYRES IN THE WET?

“Dry tyres in the wet. At least there is a bit of aura with it. But wet tyres in the dry, you just look silly.”

TRAIN FOR A 100-METRE SPRINT OR A MARATHON?

“I've not really got the build for a Sprint, but I think it will be a bit more fun to train, a bit of weights, I think it will be a bit more of an enjoyable training program. Imagine getting up every day and doing 20km, sounds tough. I would do a Half Marathon though, I'd train for that one. Full is just too far.”

BE CHRONICALLY UNDER-DRESSED OR OVERDRESSED?

“I'm a casual guy. Personality wise I'd say I'm more likely to be under dressed than overdressed. I'd come to the track in pyjamas over a suit. There's a bit of swagger about it, going in a suit, it's just a bit like you didn't get the memo, then again you could also say that with pyjamas as well.”
