Home races don't get much better than that for MP Motorsport. In Saturday's Sprint Race, Clément Novalak claimed his first Formula 2 podium, whilst on Sunday, Felipe Drugovich put one hand on the Formula 2 title with his fifth win of the season.

As the Dutch team reigned triumphant and returned to the top of the Teams' Championship, we handed Guest Column duties over to Team Principal Sander Dorsman to reflect on how their Zandvoort weekend unfolded and how they plan to build on their positive form heading into the penultimate round at Monza.

ONE GOOD POINT - A VICTORY AND PODIUM

Obviously, it was great to score a win and a P2 in both F2 races in Zandvoort in front of out home crowd. It was also nice to see Richard Verschoor doing well. After racing with us for so many years, we still support him and it was good to see him getting some good results at his home race too!

ONE BAD POINT - NOVALAK'S SUNDAY DISAPPOINTMENT

The second restart in the Feature Race ended in a big disappointment. Clem was one of the victims of DNF beyond his own fault. He was looking to score a good result again, which would have made it a perfect weekend for him.

WHAT I LEARNED - THE PASSIONATE FANS

The atmosphere in Zandvoort was fantastic again. It would be great if some adjustments could be made to the circuit to improve racing and overtaking possibilities.

FANS MAY HAVE MISSED - THE POST-RACE CELEBRATIONS

During the Dutch GP, we had more than 400 guests and sponsors per day. We hosted them in a beachclub next to the coastline. It was a perfect location for a small afterparty on Sunday evening, which ended up in the sea for some mechanics!

NEXT UP - MONZA

We are looking forward to Monza. It's a mythical circuit which produces great racing. After Spa and Zandvoort, we are keen to keep the momentum and get some good results in.
