Pourchaire handed grid penalty for Jeddah Feature Race

Théo Pourchaire has received a five-place grid penalty for causing a collision with Oliver Bearman during Round 2’s Sprint Race in Jeddah.
Attempting an overtake on his ART Grand Prix teammate Victor Martins along the main straight into the first corner, Pourchaire missed the braking point for Turn 1, locked his rear tyres and collided with PREMA Racing’s Oliver Bearman at the apex. The Stewards determined that the French driver was wholly responsible for the collision.
Pourchaire was originally set to start from third on the grid but will now line up in eighth for Sunday’s Feature Race.
