Josep María Martí has certainly made quite an impression in his opening few months as a member of the Formula 2 grid, having achieved a double podium result at the opening weekend in Sakhir.

The Campos Racing driver then showed a good turn of pace at the in-season test in Barcelona as preparations ramp up for Round 4 in Imola.

But before he hits the track once again, we thought we would give him another test by making him answer some really tough Would You Rather questions.

WEIGHTS OR CARDIO?

“Weights. Cardio is just so painful. You spend so much time in higher heart rates and you are just like sitting there like 'keep going, keep going'. Then you have like 10 more minutes to go or like half an hour or 40 minutes to go and you are still doing it and you are just like 'keep going'. If it's outdoors I can still enjoy it but indoors is like the worst thing. I was on the treadmill this morning, did 5KM, it was pretty bad.”

WIN YOUR HOME RACE OR THE MONACO GP?

“I've won both, but I think winning the Feature Race at home is maybe more memorable because you have your family, your people around you. Also, the atmosphere of being at home. I think Monaco is probably the second most special just because of the thrill of driving in Monaco. There is a thrill of driving in those streets and also to take the win so both are really special, maybe for me Barcelona would be one step ahead.”

UNDERSTEER OR OVERSTEER?

“Oversteer because with understeer you don't really have much to do to solve the issue. But with oversteer you can work around it and try to more or less thrive on the oversteer and try to use its benefit and minimise its negatives.”

GIVE UP YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL FOR LIFE OR EAT IT EVERYDAY FOR A YEAR?

“I think I'd probably eat it every day for a year. It's rice with meat and some sauce that my mum makes at home. So, it's not unhealthy you know, you've got carbohydrates, you've got the meat, you've got some vegetables in the sauce so it's a good balanced meal. It's so good, I don't think I'd get tired of it. I just think we'd have a little bit less on some days than others. I just couldn't give it up.”

HANDS FOR FEET OR FEET FOR HANDS?

“Hands for feet for sure. It makes a lot more sense. With one you are amplifying your capabilities and with the other one you are deducting.”

FIRST TO ARRIVE OR LAST TO ARRIVE?

“First to arrive. I am quite a late guy, but I dislike being late, so I try to work on it, but I think when you arrive last you feel guilty, and you made everyone wait so I don't like that either.”

Taylor Barnard: A Race In My Words

TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?

“Too hot, definitely. I am a hot-blooded person and I hate the cold. I've gotten more used to it recently, but I still dislike it more than I do the heat.”

DRIVE WITH A RACE SUIT THAT’S TOO SMALL OR TOO BIG?

“For the people that watched Chasing the Dream too tight is not the way, so I think too big. I would've preferred not having to go through that.”

ROCK OR HIP HOP?

“Hip Hop. I don’t think I have a favourite artist, there are a lot of them that I would go through sometimes.”

KARAOKE OR DANCE OFF?

“Karaoke any day. I love singing as bad as I am, I just cannot dance for the love of anything. I love music so I probably could do both, but I think I have more winning probabilities singing than I do dancing. I've actually only gone to the karaoke a few times so I have to go more, but I would probably say any Spanish song or Sprinter by Central Cee and Dave, something like that, something with a nice kick to it, something that gets you going.”

INDY 500 OR 24 HOURS OF LE MANS?

“Both. I think probably Le Mans because I feel like it is such a different dynamic to normal racing. In IndyCar you still drive out, you have pitstops, you have restarts, you have the start, and, in Le Mans, you have for example a chance to win a race if you don't start the race or if you don't finish the race. So, it makes it a lot different to what we are used to, and I think that endurance racing I could be quite good at. I think it fits my strength and I actually really like endurance the more I do it on the sim, so maybe in the future.”

ABILITY TO TELEPORT OR READ PEOPLE’S MINDS?

“Teleport. I feel like if I read people's minds I would probably know too much and get anxious. Teleportation is probably very useful for the sport we are doing, just being able to grab my backpack, my bag, and my trolley and just head to the hotel in two seconds, I think that would be much more useful.”

OPTION PRIME OR PRIME OPTION?

“Option Prime because that means you did a good quali most of the time.”

SHOEY OUT OF YOUR TEAMMATE’S SHOE OR YOUR BOSS’ SHOE?

“I think that maybe Adrian's will be cleaner than Isack’s because he would have probably been racing so they would be sweatier.”

LATE BRAKING MOVE DOWN THE INSIDE OR SWEEP AROUND THE OUTSIDE?

“Probably dive up the inside. I really like late braking moves; they are so so good.”

WIN FROM POLE OR WIN FROM LAST?

“Win from pole probably. I like both but I think I am more used to doing bad Qualifying’s and pushing through the field, I want to do more on the other side. I would like to be more like what Zane Maloney did in Bahrain, which would be much easier to manage that actually having to pass eight guys every weekend."
