Christian Lundgaard and Louis Deletraz will get the chance to pit themselves against a host of Formula 1 drivers in the second instalment of the F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix this weekend.

Lundgaard will compete for Renault, as part of his role in their academy, while Deletraz will celebrate his recent promotion to test and reserve driver at HAAS, by racing for the American team.

The F2 duo will look to follow in the footsteps of Guanyu Zhou, who won the inaugural race, which was held on the Bahrain International Circuit. The second instalment of the F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix series will take place on Albert Park, the circuit of the Australian Grand Prix.

Joining them will be F1 quintet, and F2 graduates, Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell, Lando Norris and Nicholas Latifi. Also confirmed to take part are former driver Johnny Herbert and England’s Cricket World Cup Winner, BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Red Bull Athlete Ben Stokes.

The race will take place from 8pm on Sunday, April 5, with a live stream available via the official Formula 1 YouTube, Twitch and Facebook channels. Drivers will first compete in a qualifying session, before a 28-lap race.
