PREMA Racing teammates Gabriele Minì and Sebastián Montoya have known each other for a while, having risen through the ranks together, so it is fair to say their bond is very tight.
Recently, we caught up with the pair to quiz them on one another and we learned about the pairing and how they see each other.
Gabriele Minì: “Let's see...”
Sebastián Montoya: “Nice, good looking, charismatic.”
Mini: “Yeah, but the opposite of all of that. No, we only meet at the track, so I don't know how he is at home. But he is a nice guy, he is funny, a cool guy to go along with, on track we have our fights but that's how racing is.”
Montoya: “We've spent a lot of years together. I would describe him similarly, but at the end of the day, on track you are racing everyone, so there are no real relationships on track, but out of the track we get along very well. As teammates, I think we work well together, I've really enjoyed the year. I've known him since my first year in F4, so it's really cool to have grown with each other throughout our career.”

Minì: “For sure not padel.”
Montoya: “For sure not padel. Rubik’s cube. If you gave him enough time, he would probably want to end up in the world championships or something.”
Minì: “I think we would be a professional padel player to be honest.”
Montoya: “Triathlete is also not bad for me, anything to do with being an athlete.”
Minì: “If he tries to be funny, he is funny. But for me I am funny when I am not trying.”
Montoya: “He is unintentionally funny.”
Minì: “Me, come on.”
Montoya: “No, I am taking that.”

Montoya: “For him, sushi.”
Minì: “For him, the tapas from a Mexican restaurant.”
Montoya: “Tapas is Spanish bro.”
Minì: “What? When we go to the Mexican restaurant, you take something that's similar, but I can't remember the name.”
Montoya: “Steak, just make me a steak.”
Minì: “Yeah, steak. I complicate my life too much.”
Montoya: “I would say him.”
Minì: “My father is a mechanic, so I am supposed to know. But I am not really into that too much. Of course I know which ones I like and don't like but I don't know everything.”
Montoya: “I like race cars.”
Montoya: “I would say you.”
Minì: “Sometimes no, sometimes yes, it depends on a lot of factors. It depends on the will that I have to talk to people at that moment.”

Minì: “For me it's just that you have to make the ball go on the other side in padel.”
Montoya: “I would say patience. Not on track, just playing padel.”
Minì: “Oh my God. It was bad.”
Montoya: “I put it like this, we won three sets in a row, not because we actually played better but because the other team was laughing so much. My trainer was on the floor. We were so funny while we played that they could not play. The strategy worked quite well in the end. It was unintentional.”
Minì: “So basically I carried the game mate.”
Montoya: “I spend a lot of time in the gym, he spends a lot of time in the sim.”
Minì: “I don't know.”
Montoya: “We usually have no filter between each other.”
Minì: “I'll tell him straight to his face.”
Montoya: “Because we have known each other for so long, let it be racing or anything else, even talking about girls, we are very honest with each other.”
