Minì is now set to return this year but in MP orange, and he got his first taste of life as a member of the Dutch outfit at the Yas Marina post-season test.
Speaking ahead of the afternoon session on Day 1 in Abu Dhabi, Minì said: “I feel very good. We just started testing, so I am getting used to everything once again. I think the potential seems very good.
“Next season, it will be key if I want to achieve my dream of getting to F1. So I need to do a very good one for sure, I need to try to fight for the title and wins consistently. I know it will not be easy, but we've changed teams, I have one year of experience more, so we are ready for it.
“That was the goal again this year, but sadly it didn't work out. After testing we showed really good potential, and then we started having some problems, so time to reset and try again.”

When asked about his first impressions of the MP team, Minì responded: “It's completely different to what I am used to. So I have to again get used to the car, the setup and everything.
“The good thing is that even though we had a poor lap and overall poor session, we were still up in P4, without track limits.
“I am quite happy about it, also Ollie was really quick, so that's good, it shows that we have good potential. It's really early to say, but at the moment I feel very good.”

Minì is heading into what will be a quiet winter as he returns home, and he plans to work on the simulator and on the physical side of things, before getting back to work with MP.
“To be honest I will be at home,” said Minì on his winter plans. “I will be doing some simulator that's for sure, training at home, everyday pretty much, not a lot of track time for me. Then we will be back again in January.”
