It is the final round before the summer break and the paddock is heading to Budapest as the drivers and teams prepare to go toe-to-toe at the Hungaroring.

Leonardo Fornaroli and Invicta Racing come into the weekend in the lead of both Championships, but will it remain the same after Round 10 or will we see another change at the top?

PREVIEW: Budapest plays host to Round 10 before the summer break

Before we get going, here are a few talking points to look out for…

INVICTA IN FLYING FORM

Invicta Racing became the second team – after DAMS Lucas Oil in Monte Carlo – to win both races on a single weekend this season, with Leonardo Fornaroli winning the Spa-Francorchamps Sprint, and Roman Stanek inheriting victory of the Feature.

This result put Fornaroli – who has won the last two Sprint Races at Silverstone and Spa – at the top of the Drivers' Championship on 125 points.

Stanek is 10th in the Standings, and it means Invicta are currently one of two teams – the other being Campos Racing – to have both of their drivers in the top 10 of the Championship.

They now head to Budapest, a track where they have a strong record, having won one race at each of Formula 2’s last three visits to the circuit.

Keep that up this weekend, and the reigning Teams’ Champions should be in a pretty good position heading into the summer break.

WHO WILL BE THE SUMMER BREAK LEADER

Fornaroli taking over at the top of the Standings means we have had a new Championship leader after eight of the nine rounds. So, does that mean we could see a change at the end of the weekend?

The Italian currently leads Richard Verschoor by three points, with Jak Crawford on 116, Alexander Dunne on 114 and Luke Browning rounding out the top five on 113 points.

Verschoor, Dunne and Browning have all had their turn at the top of the Standings, and a big weekend in Budapest could put any of the trailing four back in prime position heading into the summer break.

But Fornaroli is in good form and in his previous two visits to Budapest in Formula 3, he qualified third and achieved a podium in 2024.

It is all to play for this weekend, as the leading five look to go into their holidays at the top of the Standings.

CAMPOS LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK

Outside of the top five, Josep María Martí, on 85 points, is sixth ahead of his Campos Racing teammate Arvid Lindblad, who is just a point behind.

Both drivers performed very well in Spa, and Lindblad looked set to have inherited victory in the Feature Race, only for a post-race disqualification for a technical infringement to deprive him of it.

The pair have each had moments where they have been in the mix at the top of the Standings, but with results having gone away from them in recent rounds, they have now slipped down the order.

On top of that, for the first time since Barcelona, Campos are no longer leading the Teams’ Championship, so they will be eyeing a big weekend as they look to retake top spot.

There is still plenty of time to go in the season, but for both team and drivers, a positive weekend in Budapest could be exactly what they need before heading into the final stages of the campaign.

WILL HITECH REIGN IN RAIN?

The forecast for this weekend shows that there is a chance of rain on Sunday, and one team in particular will certainly not mind the skies opening up.

Hitech TGR have been in superb form at the last two Feature Races at Silverstone and Spa which have been affected by rain, with Luke Browning and Dino Beganovic charging through the field.

The former has started in P12 for each of those races and has fought back incredibly well, pulling off several eye-catching overtakes to finish third in both.

Beganovic has also comeback through the field to collect a solid haul of points in both races. So if rain does hit the track on Sunday, both team and drivers will be confident of scoring big, but they will want to make sure they qualify well in the top 10 on Friday.

If they do that, considering their pace at the last two rounds, look out for the Hitech pairing on Sunday.
