Invicta Racing driver Gabriel Bortoleto is one of 10 rookies in the 2024 Formula 2 field that are getting used to life in a new Championship.

We thought we would make things a bit tougher for him by asking a few important questions. The Brazilian driver gives us a little insight into his thinking, how he goes so fast and why that might not always make him punctual.

WEIGHTS OR CARDIO?

“Weights. Cardio is not good, you get tired and everything, weights is just different, it's easier. When you are running you are sweating so much like a dog.”

“I would win my home race. It would be amazing to win in Brazil.”

UNDERSTEER OR OVERSTEER?

“Oversteer for sure. Understeer is not fast, and I want to go fast.”

GIVE UP YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL FOR A YEAR OR EAT IT EVERY DAY FOR ONE YEAR?

“My favourite meal is rice and beans and steak from Brazil, and I will eat it every day for sure. It's my favourite meal so why not.”

“My hands where my feet are. It just makes more sense.”

FIRST TO ARRIVE OR LAST TO ARRIVE?

“First to arrive. I try to always be the first to arrive but it’s not always, but I do try, it's nice to be punctual.”

TOO HOT OR TOO COLD?

“Too hot. If it’s too hot I can just take my shirt off. If it’s too cold I will need to wear like 20 jackets. It depends where you are but still, I would rather be too hot.”

RACE SUIT THAT’S TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL?

“Too big. It’s easier and it’s not squeezing my body as well. It’s just the reality that’s why I don’t want a tiny suit.”

ROCK OR HIP HOP?

“I listen to both of them, but I would say rock. I mean I really like the band Red Hot Chilli Peppers.”

KARAOKE OR DANCE OFF?

“Karaoke. I'm not the best at dancing, I feel embarrassed when I do that. I don’t have a favourite song because every song that is good, I like to sing."

“24 Hours of Le Mans. I think because it’s so historical and special, last year it was 100 years. So, it's so historical, it's really special."

“Definitely to teleport.”

OPTION PRIME OR PRIME OPTION?

“I would say Option Prime, because then you can start the race like a rocket.”

“I think out of Kush's shoes. Racing shoes you don't wear all the time and probably Andy has been wearing his for years already.”

“Outside. It's so cool as well because when you make the move round the outside everyone is just like going crazy. Sometimes when you go on the outside and you squeeze the guy to the inside you can get the grip yourself.”

“Win from last. I like to dominate but winning from last is just an unbelievable feeling.”
