We hand the reigns over to Giuliano Alesi who crafts a new addition to the FIA Formula 2 calendar. Choosing everything from the country, to the celebrities that he would invite, the Trident man creates a new race weekend.

Which country would the race be based in?

I would say France, for sure. A place not so far from where I live, because it is always nice to go on race tracks with your own car. Everything is more relaxed.

Which city in that country?

I would have it in the south, in the province of France. It would probably be in Vaucluse, but that is a small detail.

Would it be a street or a track race?

I would have a track race with a lot of changes of direction and both uphills and downhills. There would also be blind corners in there because I have always been a fan of blind corners. I wouldn’t have any run off, I would have pure old school grass and gravel.

There would be space though, so even if you go out you don't necessarily crash the car in the wall. The uphills and downhills and the corners would be key points. It is fun as a driver when you feel all of these different lateral Gs. For example, at the Red Bull Ring when you arrive at corner 1 and corner 3, when you are breaking, it is a lot nicer there than it would be in another downhill corner, or just a flat.

I am not sure how many corners I would have though. I think I would go with something standard, around 15. I am pretty sure that it would be a difficult track to overtake on. There would be a lot of change of direction, for example, like Maggots and Becketts at Silverstone, but instead of it beings flats, I would have quite a lot of banking in the corners and a few up and downhills, to make it more fun.

I would probably have a track that is quite green around the outside. I have always been a fan of nature. I am not such a big fan of the big cities. I really like big cities in general, for example, Budapest is a city that I really like. I wouldn’t necessarily live there though. I would rather stay in a quiet place - I have always been more of a quiet guy.

I have not really prepared for this though, these are just brainstorms which are rushing through my mind.

Would it be a wet or a dry race?

As it is F2, there would be two races, so I would have one of each, one wet race, one dry race. It is always really interesting for the fans on the outside to see who adapts quicker in the wet. Afterwards in the Sprint, there would be a dry race to see how it is when everyone is more or less the same.

Would it be a day or a night race?

Considering where it is, I would have a day race. If it were in a country such as Saudi Arabia or Bahrain, I would have gone with a night race.

Which celebrity would attend the event?

I really don't know actually. I have always really liked Silvestre Stallone. He is really cool and I have always really liked his movies. Rocky, Rambo, etc. Out of those two characters, I would choose Rocky to be honest, because Rambo would come in all guns blazing laughs.
